Implementation/Pre-Production
Get a network solution to connect the local network at your remote branch or field research station to the ETHZ campus network. The connection is done over mobile data services (LTE,G3,Edge) using the LAN-i technology. A specific LTE router has to be placed in your remote branch. Each computer or device, connected to that router, will be integrated into the ETH network on layer 3 (No NAT gateways to traverse, you can directly access each computer, connected to the router). The IP networks are located in a specific VPZ where restricted firewall settings are possible.
There are two different types of the router hardware. A standard router for normal indoor applications and a hardened version, that put away a big range of temperature, vibrations and air humidity. More detail can be found in the data sheet.
Connection speed of the mobile connection is not shaped and is defined by the mobile network standard in use (LTE,G3,Edge). There is no monthly data limit it's flat rate.

Normally the router is ready for production within a month.

As soon as the router arrives we help you to set up the branch network and VPZ firewall due to your need or provide you information so you can set everything up by your self.
